PICTURES WITH SANTA
During the holiday season, on two Saturdays in late-Nov and early-Dec, our club hosts "Pictures with Santa." Hosted i na club members yard, we partner with a professional photographer to provide digital pictures of Santa with you, your friends, and family (and pets). Proceeds from this event are provided to underprivileged families in Oakland. This initiative fosters a spirit of giving and community support during the festive season.
CHEESESTEAKS AT THE OAKLAND CARNIVAL
The annual Oakland Carnival, typically hosted in mid-June,
from a Wednesday through a Saturday, is a great venue for kids of all ages. Volunteer members of the Oakland Fathers Club man the stand each day and provide the ever-popular cheesteaks!
ANNUAL GOLF OUTING
Typically the first Friday in October, the Oakland Fathers Club hosts our premier event... the annual OFC Golf Outing, where fathers and community members come together for a day of golf and camaraderie. It is hosted at Crystal Springs Resort at the famous Black Bear Corse, in Franklin, NJ. The day begins with lunch at 11am, followed by a shotgun start at noon. After the round of golf concludes, a full buffet dinner is provided. Prizes are awarded and "swag" is raffled off. A 50-50 is also included. This fundraising event supports our various programs and initiatives, ensuring we can continue to serve our community effectively.
OUR FUNDRAISING EVENTS
FAMILY BEACH BBQ
Each June, the OFC hosts a family, Beach BBQ at Crystal Lake Community Beach. One entry fee entitles you to great food, drinks, live music, cornhole tournament and an illusionist. All proceeds go towards supporting the youth of Oakland through donations, scholarships, etc.
OFC BEEFSTEAK
Each March, typically centered around the March Madness NCAA basketball tournament, teh OFC organizes a Beefsteak, hosted at the Knights of Columbus. This event features live music, a cash bar, a 50/50 drawing and the televised basketball games.
